Japanese Folding Screen Painting BYOBU Pair Set - Depicting Everyday Life during the Edo~Meiji Period
This extremely rare set of 2 pieces of folding screen, or Byobu in Japanese, is estimated to have been painted during late Meiji to Early Taisho Period (circa 1910s). The condition is as can be observed in the pictures with some tears and obvious perforations. However, the value of this exemplary set of hand-painted paintings should not only put on its current condition but on its rarity, having been able to depict the ordinary life represented during the Edo~Meiji Period. It possible to transfer the paintings on separate frames to match any Western style interiors or motif but please take note that we can not do it for you. Please carefully check the pictures as they have been carefully chosen to best represent this lovely pair set. Measurements: Height x Width x Depth = 172 x 62 x 10.5 cm each. Due to size restrictions via normal methods (EMS), the shipping, handling and professional packaging will available only via Air CARGO Shipment (Door-to-door or Door-to-port depending on your country):
